The City of West Lafayette is planning a new east-west connector road north of Kalberer Road to enhance mobility, support future development, and improve safety in our growing community.

As part of the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, the Soldiers Home Road Reconstruction project seeks to address continuing community growth in the northern areas of West Lafayette. This project will include road reconstruction, a new multi-use trail, and new sidewalks. The multi-use trail will connect the Nighthawk, Sagamore Parkway, and Happy Hollow Trails to the Northwest Greenway Trail.

The Salisbury Street/Grant Street Redevelopment Project aims to connect our trail systems from north to south, improving access and safety for multimodal travelers. The project’s second phase, which includes Grant Street reconstruction, will begin in March 2023.
