The City of West Lafayette is expanding and upgrading the Northside Regional Lift Station and Force Main – essential components of our wastewater system. This work ensures that our infrastructure can reliably support current residents, new housing developments, and anticipated job-creating business growth on the city’s northside.
This is not a one-company project – it’s a strategic infrastructure investment that supports:
This upgrade positions West Lafayette to manage growth responsibly, avoid overburdening legacy systems, and protect our environment.
The City has already secured more than $2 million in federal funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) to help pay for this expansion.
In addition to the federal grant, the City’s Utility Department is funding its portion of the project.
While the grant is tied to economic development, the infrastructure improvements will also directly support new housing construction and strengthen service for existing neighborhoods.
