What We Heard During the First Input Session
Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Community Engagement and Virtual Input Sessions. Your feedback helped the project team better understand community priorities related to outdoor spaces, programming, environmental design, building concepts, access, drop-off, and parking.
That feedback, along with input from early childhood education providers and other community stakeholders, was reviewed by the project team and used to help identify a conceptual direction for further exploration.

At the September 2 Community Engagement Session, we showed the progression from the initial concepts presented during the first session to the conceptual direction now being explored.
Attendees had an opportunity to review and provide additional input on:
- The updated site plan orientation
- The building’s overall size, shape, layout, and placement on the site
- Potential exterior materials and siding
- Potential interior finishes and features
- Other design elements being explored
This is still early in the planning and design process. The viability of the potential site continues to be evaluated, and the concepts and materials presented on September 2 are not final decisions on the location or building design.
Virtual Input opened on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and closed on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
